GLOWRILLAPENSYNC™

Decode Your Pen. Know Your Dose.

GlowRilla's blue gorilla scientist

Do not assume pen units and syringe units are interchangeable. Verify the specific pen calibration before using a conversion.

How to use it (the simple version)

The big idea: a pen and a syringe are like two different rulers. A "unit" on your pen is not the same size as a "unit" on a syringe. PenSync turns both into mL, the real amount of liquid, so you can compare them.

  1. Tap your pen. Pick V2, V3, V4 or V5. The dot tells you how sure we are: Green: checked by Glow/Klow CalcOrange: typed in, not checkedRed: size unknown, PenSync won't guess Not sure, or your pen shows red? Tap CUSTOM and type what your pen's instruction paper says.
  2. Pick a direction. Use Pen → Syringe if you know the number on your pen. Use Syringe → Pen if you know the line on a syringe.
  3. Fill in what's in the pen. How many mg of peptide, and how many mL of water went in.
  4. Type your number. The pen setting, the peptide amount, or the syringe units.
  5. Press Calculate. The big glowing card on top is your answer. The smaller cards show the mL and mg behind it.
  6. Want to see how? Tap Show Math for every step.

Example: if 1 pen unit = 0.05 mL, then 10 pen units = 0.5 mL, which is the 50 line on a U-100 syringe, not the 10 line.

See red "Calibration Required"? PenSync doesn't know how much liquid one of your pen's units holds. Look in the pen's instructions for "mL per unit" or "the full pen delivers ___ mL", then enter it under CUSTOM, or use Check Your Pen.

Fundamentals

Why Pen Units ≠ Syringe Units

A pen's dial and a syringe's markings are two different rulers. They only meet at volume. PenSync always converts through millilitres, never number to number.

PEN

  1. Pen setting10 pen units on the dial
  2. Calibrated volume× mL per pen unit, from the manufacturer
  3. Peptide amount× concentration (mg/mL)

SYRINGE

  1. Syringe marking10 units on a U-100
  2. Physical volume÷ 100 units per mL = 0.10 mL
  3. Peptide amount× concentration (mg/mL)

A syringe scale measures volume, not peptide

A U-100 syringe has 100 syringe units per 1 mL. A syringe on another scale divides the millilitre differently: on a U-40 syringe, 10 units is 0.25 mL. The marking tells you how much liquid is in the barrel. How much peptide that liquid holds depends on the concentration.

So "10 units" on a peptide pen cannot be assumed to equal 10 units on a U-100 syringe. The pen's 10 units cover whatever volume its manufacturer calibrated them to cover.

U-100 syringe scale
Syringe unitsVolume
100 units1.00 mL
50 units0.50 mL
10 units0.10 mL
5 units0.05 mL
1 unit0.01 mL

Worked example

Why V4 May Look Different

A V4 pen has a 100-unit scale, the same count as a U-100 syringe. That does not make them equal: those 100 units span whatever volume the manufacturer designed them to deliver. The V4 setting that matches a given syringe volume depends on that calibration, so PenSync uses the V4 calibration profile instead of copying the syringe number.

Before you convert

Check Your Pen

Gather what is printed on the pen, its label, and its instructions. PenSync tells you whether that is enough to convert safely.
